How to Raise Interdependent Teens

Yes, you read that title correctly: interdependence. The goal is to give our teens roots and wings so they remain part of the family while going off to explore. But how do we ensure our teens are interdependent? It starts by connecting with teens instead of controlling them. Honour their need to shape their own world, stepping in to guide when it comes to safety and not when their choices differ from their parents. Prepare them to navigate the world without you and they’ll see you as a source of wisdom to use throughout their life.
