Want your child to have healthy relationships? Let them see how you interact with your partner, relatives, and friends. Want your child to have a healthy life? They’re picking up their cues from you, so show them self-care. Even when you’re taking a break from your teen, you’re still parenting because you are mirroring how you want them to balance life in the future. Parents who invest in themselves raise kids who invest in themselves when they reach adulthood. Set a recurring reminder on your phone’s calendar app to engage once a week in a hobby. That is parenting, too!
