Beyond Grades

Let’s face it: checking grades seems like an easy way to judge how your child is doing. But your teen is so much more than a number. Remember back before grades were a thing? In preschool, the way you measured success was whether they shared their toys or their deep interest in a certain topic. You were looking at the person as a whole; not how they performed in a single class. Try doing this today. Instead of asking about their grade on a project, ask how well they worked with their group or what they thought about the topic.
