True or false: Depression in teenagers looks just like depression in adults. False, and it’s super important that you learn how depression may present in a teen. Sometimes depression will present as trouble sleeping or becoming withdrawn, but other times, depressed teens are irritable and rage-filled, sometimes bottling it up and other times causing trouble at school. In fact, depressed teens may not feel sad at all, making it confusing for teens and adults alike. Now that you know this sign, check in with your teen and help them understand their anger or find professional help. Depression is treatable.
