When to Use Parental Controls on Social Media

It’s important to help your young person understand what’s happening in the news and what they may have seen online by allowing them to share their emotions and ask questions. But know that there is some scary media out there that could be traumatic for your child to see. That’s when you may want to consider using the parental controls that many digital platforms offer. Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube offer different content-blocking features, filters, and monitoring options. And sometimes the most important action to consider is simply turning off the device!
