What Are the Signs That Your Teen Is Being Cyberbullied?

How do you even know if you have a cyberbullying situation on your hands? Sameer Hinduja, Ph.D., co-director of the Cyberbullying Research Center, outlines possible signs: Your teen has no interest in their phone. They appear jumpy, nervous, angry, or depressed after checking online or gaming. If they avoid conversations about what they’re doing online or become unusually secretive with their phone, they may be being harassed. Students who are bullied are significantly more likely to grow depressed or even attempt to take their life, so please open a conversation with your teen if you think something is going on.
