Be the Polo to Your Teen’s Marco

Parents

Ever play the game Marco Polo at the pool? One person closes their eyes and calls out “Marco!” They listen for the players’ response of “Polo!” and try to tag them. Your teen is currently swimming through the figurative pool of life, trying to figure out their place in the world; their likes, dislikes, strengths, and weaknesses. Help them with their self-discovery by always calling out “Polo” when they’re reaching out for your stabilizing presence with their questioning “Marco.” Let them know that you’re all playing the same game, and you’re there to guide them while they explore.
