What is a “Successful” Teen

Quick quiz: You’ll know that your teen is successful when (a) they look happy, (b) are earning straight As, (c) look happy and are earning straight As, or (d) none of the above. Listen, there are happy, high-achieving students who are successful but emotions and grades do not define a teen any more than mood and paycheck define an adult. Real success is measured in mattering to our communities and in our strong relationships. Right now, your job is to help them see their strengths, so set aside time today to let them know the ways they amaze you.
