Being kind releases serotonin, the feel-good hormone that activates your brain’s pleasure center. Being kind makes others feel good, but it makes you feel good, too. Kindness reduces stress and anxiety. Focusing on someone else gives you a break from your own problems. And finally, being kind relieves pain because kindness also releases oxytocin, which reduces inflammation. Kindness leads to better health, which is a great reason to be kind. Also, it’s the right thing to do!
