How to Get Involved at Your Teen’s School

There are plenty of ways to be involved in your teen’s education, even if you can’t get to their school during the school day. For example, attend evening events such as back-to-school night or parent orientation. Ask your teen’s teachers how they like to communicate and do a monthly check-in by email or phone. Display a positive view of education at home, being mindful of the way you speak about the school and teachers as well as your own education expectations. And encourage reading by creating your own family book club. All these things add to student success.
