Peek Inside Your 13 or 14-year-old’s Brain

What is happening in your teen’s head? Want to peek inside? Healthy 13 – 14 year olds are tuned into social stress and notice when they feel excluded. Your house may be filled with slammed doors, shouted words, or lots of alone time. All totally normal. You can help by being there as a sounding board for friendship woes and being a safe harbour for their emotions. Be their friend coach by showing them what healthy relationships look like, and encourage them to spend time with their peers. Social practice makes social confidence.
