Parenting in 100 Words: Successful Parenting

Parents

Want to know the secret to shaping your teen’s academic effort or overall behavior? The key isn’t nagging, yelling, or questioning — in fact, it’s something MUCH easier to do and you never have to raise your voice. Research finds that the most successful parents are the least reactive ones. All you need is to express to your child at all times your warm, unconditional love and support by conveying this simple thought … DAILY: “I’m here to listen to what you’re going through, I’m not going anywhere, and you’re fine just the way you are.” Lather, rinse, repeat.

Smart thought, right? Keep snack time going with another bite of parenting advice.
