Three Ways Parents Can Teach Self-Care

Feeling stressed? You’re not imagining it. Parents today are spending two to four times more time parenting than parents in 1965. Which means you not only need to practice self-care in front of your kids so they learn self-care techniques, but you need self-care to recharge so you can be an effective parent. Three places to focus your efforts: exercising, eating, and sleeping. Make sure you’re making space to do all three well so you can have the energy to get through those parenting hours, while practicing self-care with your teen so they learn how to do it, too.
