Why You Should Support All Teens

You’re definitely focused on your teen––which is awesome––but what about all those other teens out there, the ones you know and the ones you don’t? Dr. Richard Lerner calls teens “assets in the making, rather than problems waiting to happen,” asking us to reframe and view every teen as someone who needs adults to cheer them on. When we do, we build community, which directly impacts that teen you have in your house. So go out and mentor. Volunteer at your school. Be a trusted adult in your neighborhood. And transform your community in the process.
