Don’t Judge Kids By an Outdated Standard

The definition of success changes with every generation, and we make a mistake when we hold the current generation to a different generation’s standards. Take, for example, the online world. It didn’t exist when you were growing up, but tech companies are major employers for today’s young workforce. Many are favoring creativity over college degrees, turning the old definition of success upside down. Rather than wonder if your teen has what it takes to succeed in the 1990s, wonder if your teen is ready for the 2020s. The world changes. Change the definition of success with it.
