Give Back to Get More

The family that volunteers together grows healthy together, or something like that. Research has proven time and time again that there are actual health benefits to giving back. And teaching your child to give back sets them up for a lifetime of emotional well-being. How? Because giving to others can counter low self-esteem or feelings of worthlessness. Teens who volunteer are less likely to drink or do drugs. They have less stress and ultimately live longer than peers who don’t pitch in. In other words, knowing that you matter, matters.
