Be Involved With School From Home

You can’t always get to your teen’s classroom, but there is plenty you can do to support their education from the comfort of your own home. Start by talking with your teen about your expectations for their education. Make sure you explain why you value school. Students do better in school when parents hold them to high standards. But this isn’t a conversation to have one time and then forget about until their senior year. Help your teen set their personal weekly or monthly goals, and check in on whether they feel they’ve fulfilled them.
