Help Your Teen Find a Mentor

Improved grades and academic performance. Reduced absentee rates in school. Reduction in the use of illegal drugs. Those are just three reasons why your teen needs an adult mentor. Plus the benefits don’t end in the teen years. Teens who are mentored grow up to make meaningful contributions to the world as adults. Another bonus—other adults in your teen’s life can improve their relationship with you. Help your teen gain independence by connecting them to a source of outside support. They’ll give them unbiased adult guidance. Extended family members or family friends, teachers, or coaches can all serve as mentors.
