Tell Them the Truth

You know all those negative messages you hear about teens? Teens hear them, too, and that’s a problem. Teens are in a critical stage of development, and they internalize those messages and start believing them. Super parents to the rescue! Teens need to hear that they’re awesome from the adults in their life. They need their milestones celebrated. And they need to know that you don’t believe the myths about teens when they pop up in news stories. Give them the space to show you who they really are and be prepared to be blown away by their amazing development.
